Douji ( 童子) [Young boy] represents a boy between 8 and 20 years old living in a Buddhist temple. He studies the sutras and performs various errands as part of his training to become a monk.
The Boy attends to Buddhist deities like Fudou Myouou (不動明王) and Monju (文殊).
