Traditional Japanese Heishitori Mask

Heishitori (瓶子取) is one of the characters in the Bugaku (舞楽) performance "Dance of the Virtuous Barbarians".

The cast consists of four to six barbarians, the host, and the wine cup bearer Heishitori. The performance entails a skit enacting the visit of barbarians to the house of a native (Japanese), where a rascally wine-bearer serves them drinks. When sufficiently drunk, the barbarians rise and begin to dance.

The wine bearer Heishitori is a dark, pug-nosed, and leering man.
